Christopher B. Cann founded BuysideResources Executive Search and Strategic Advisory in late 2003.  BuysideResources boutique approach caters to the asset management and pension fund market throughout Europe and includes a client list of blue chip financial institutions.  BuysideResources in addition to its executive search practice offers strategic advisory services in the form of workshops and trainings for Human Resources teams specializing on the buy side.
Prior to founding BuysideResources, Christopher worked with a global executive search and consultancy firm called Options Group.  Christopher ran Options Groups Amsterdam Financial Services business for several years developing their Capital Markets and Asset Management practice in the Benelux region and worked for over a year in their London office as a Director of European asset management.  Chris has developed client relationships within the fund management and pension fund world in the both the Benelux and U.K., with an increasing focus on the Alternative Investments asset class and platform to include: Fund of Hedge Funds, Private Equity Fund of Funds and Global Allocation.

Prior to joining Options Group, Chris worked for a year at Neal Management, a financial executive search and consultancy boutique in New York. He also worked as a marketer for Home Box Office Inc. (HBO) ( a Time Warner Company). Other firms and organizations include Moviephone (a subsidiary of AOL Time Warner), Oxford Health Plans, LobsenzStevens (now an integrated part of Publicis Worldwide Public Relations business) and the University of Amsterdam.
Chris received an Executive Master's Degree in International Management and European Relations from the University of Amsterdam (ASIR) in 2000. He also holds a Master¹s Degree in Media Ecology and Communications from New York University (1998) and a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and History from Clark University in Massachusetts (1992).
