Recruitment Process
As a firm we have been successful in establishing long-term relationships within the Financial Services market by our proactive attitude, attention to detail, assignment coordination, market-knowledge, and customized approach. Quality control is managed by everyone within BuysideResources BV. As a boutique operation we are of a size that it is possible to maintain contact between all members. We have a step-by-step research and recruitment process, which is enacted regardless of the seniority of a given position, but flexible for unusual situations.
Analyze Client Needs
We approach each assignment as a team with the client, we analyze the company's needs to determine the required set of skills, understand organizational relationships, define the required experience, and identify the other characteristics necessary for the successful candidate.
Client's Specification
After carefully assessing our client's needs, we typically prepare a written position specification that outlines the responsibilities of the position, qualifications required of the ideal candidate, criteria for success, and potential compensation. Before progressing we make sure that the written brief is in line with our client's needs.
Knowledge-based and Database driven approach
Quality research is the key. The specification is shared with other specialized search consultant-alliances with relevant industry and functional expertise to pinpoint sources and prospects, and create the target-list of sources and ultimately the shortlist of candidates. Simultaneously, our research appropriates our computer database of individuals, corporations, and other sources which will involve a variety of creative channels.
Search Process
Since BuysideResources BV is a boutique operation everyone remains fully aware of any given search we are handling. In short, there is no administrative entropy (loss) and no ‘falling-through-the-cracks' of information. During the search period, the consultant reports progress frequently to the client. Client feedback at this point is crucial in order to narrow the focus of our search, provide proper direction and minimize the time to completion. We will continually review our progress with you, and allow you to oversee the entire process.
Selection Process
Once we have established your interest in particular candidates, we will arrange initial and follow-up interviews to facilitate the selection process. It is our duty to ensure proper information flow between you and all candidates throughout the interview process.
Reference check
Once the client selects the final candidate, the consultant will contact the individuals who are capable of providing insights about the candidate's qualifications. The collective comments made by these references are then reviewed with the client. We can additionally handle more exhaustive investigation through an established security firm if requested.
Filling in the position
As the search comes to a close, the consultant can assist in structuring of the compensation package if the client wishes. We also contact all those who may have been involved directly in the search-process, and thank them on behalf of the client. Once the successful candidate is in place, the consultant who worked on the search is available to support the newcomer's successful integration into the client team, frequently referred to as after-care. This ensures that any potential problems are dealt with early, and minimizes candidate fall-off after the start-date.
Database Process
BuysideResources BV focuses solely on Asset Management and Alternatives. This results in a focused database. Our database holds over 17.000 people currently active in the Asset Management sector. Our candidates are geographically located mostly in the Euro-zone and the United Kingdom.
BuysideResources BV offers its clients the possibility to log into the database and access live information regarding running assignments. This way BuysideResources BV does not work with long/short lists but with a live list.
